Pelicans guard Austin Rivers On the last play of the game

“We drew up a play. I was supposed to give it to Brian Roberts and set a screen on AD and flair. He would either have AD or me for a three. He just denied so I brought it up. It wasn’t that much time on the clock so I just tried to come off the pick but they were hedging so I went back. I tried to get a shot off….ya’ll know what happen. That’s all I can really say. The video speaks for itself. If you watch the video I think you will get an idea of what happen.”
Interesting that they were trying to get AD(or Austin) open for the 3.

Had they executed the play, I believe AD would've been wide open because the defenders would've probably been flying to Rivers not thinking Davis was a 3 point threat.

“I couldn’t get the shot off. I’ve never, ever had something like that…I can’t really comment on it. I’m not trying to lose any money over this. An unfortunate event happened.

Not even a question it was a foul. The refs called 55 fouls tonight and they swallow their whistles on that one???

Thanks for the video. After further review, time for bed. What a load of...

IDK why but I wanted this one so bad. The guys' energy out there tonight was contagious.

like I said in the game thread after the game…at least they played with heart tonight. i can deal with losses where you can tell they gave a shite. tonight, they did.

He was just trying to tell Austin it was a bad idea for him to take the shot, that's all.

Definitely got fouled, but he also stiff arms the defender to try and create separation.

Maybe this is what we needed. Idk about y'all but that shite puts a fire in my belly, and I'm not even playing! Hopefully these guys take this BS to heart and say F*** these injuries,

let's go win!

He was obviously passing the ball to the camera man.

It's a moot point, does anyone here actually expect rivers to make a free throw?? Much less 3 in a row??

his ft% on the year is .641 so yes I would expect him to make a FT. If you don't expect him to make one you don't believe in math. now the odds of him making 3 in a row are around .263 so one should not expect him to make all 3
