Hydrocodone 10mg/500 is no longer being dispensed by Pharmacists

Even if you have a prescription with 2 refills, pharmacists are not allowed to fill the script.
Had to edit after a few people corrected me on it. Apparently the hydrocodone 10mg/500 are no longer supposed to be dispensed. The FDA apparently only allows a lower dose of acetominophin like NORCO.

They have so many different variations of that

Just got told by Wal-Mart while trying to get my moms script refilled. Trust me. We will be reading a lot about it soon. Don't know why but they are trying to convert the hydrocodone users to Norco which are supposedly better for the liver. The sad part is that her pain mgmnt doctor is not in until Monday and she has to do without for 2 days.

Pain management doctors are totally legitimate.

Actually, they don't. They use to have Darvocet but they quit making it because of vascular problems among users. Lorcet and Percocet are stronger and the other opiates like the oxys and roxys are way too strong for her. My poor dad now has to put up with her for a few days.

What's the source of her pain?

it's all about acetaminophen. the narcotic aspect is highly addictive and people desensitize VERY quickly and on an logarithmic trajectory. it'll make you freaking crazy too
but the real issue is the tylenol in it.

Was your mom present? There are a few pharmacists in my family, and they said this isn't the case. May be a Wal-Mart policy...?

are you saying that hydrocodone is no longer being dispensed at all or that it has to be dispensed by someone other than a pharmacist?...

My wife had surgery a few days ago and they won't give her anything stronger that 50 mg of demerol...it's not doing anything.
