Almost done with S.4 of 'Lost' (no spoilers thus far)

What the frick is happening? Did the writers just give up and decided to go for an all out free for all of story lines...or will this shite all come together?
I absolutely loved season 1-2, liked S.3 and now I'm confused as shite in S.4
I know the M/TV board is split on this topic....and I refrained from starting a thread when I started because I was INSTANTLY hooked on the show after missing it the first go around..but I find myself 'laboring' through them now just to see what the point is.
I've hammered through all 4 season of Justified no problem in the meantime..THAT is a FANTASTIC show...

All the seasons run together so I forget what episodes S4 has but keep watching. I fricking love Lost
