I said spoilers, so I am putting this here so that the hover over text doesn't show something.

every fricking season the same shite....CTU has more spies, enemies and what not working for it than actual agents?

every season someone's dead..oh not dead...oh kidnapped family member...Jack bauer hero, traitor, hero,traitor,HERO!!!...next season "can we trust bauer?"...billionaire enemies with armies of thugs that wouldn't accidentally ever rat out this grand scheme that took years to develop.

is it really this redundantly retarded every season? gotten through 4....does it change like Jack finally says frick you and actually becomes the bad guy and really starts killing millions of people?

It's kind of the same but still awesome. And yea them not trusting Jack always pissed me off. It's like dude he's risked his life to save the country enough to prove his loyalties

i think they shook it up a bit. I mean there were terrorists every season for sure, but it varied from Middle Easterns, to Russians, Africans, Mexican Drug Cartel, US Government itself enough to keep it fresh. Some of it got old with always being a mole, CTU not trusting Jack, etc.

I've ranked the seasons:

5
1
3
8
4
2
7
6

It's pretty redundant, because I guess there's only a certain amount of different "terrorist" stories to tell when you've got 24 episodes chock full of shite for like 8 seasons.

I will say this though...you said you finished season four...at least watch season 5. It's one of the best seasons of any show ever. If you get through that one and still don't like it, then give up; but definitely give five a shot because it is so fricking awesome.

I still have never gone back and watched seasons two and three yet.

I liked 24 a lot until the untrained Africans took over the White House.

Most seasons are the same.

1.Evil Guy plots
2.Jack figures out who the evil guy is
3.Mole tells evil guy CTU is on to him
4.Evil guy escapes even though surrounded
5.Jack gets tortured or tortures someone
6.Jack catches evil guy.
7.Evil guy was nothing more than a distraction for Even More Evil Guy.
8.Even More Evil guy sets his Fiendish Plot into action.
9.Jack tortures more people or is tortured again.
10. Jack realizes there is a mole.
11. Mole is killed but only after killing people close to Jack.
12.Jack catches Even More Evil Guy.
13. Slowly pan in on Supreme Evil Guy laughing as his real plot has just started.

it's interesting how Jack Bauer is a hero on the show for the same shite the NSA is getting crucified for IRL.

But people who watch the show are all "frick yeah! Jack Bauer!" IRL Jack Bauer is listening to their cell phone calls.

I watched the show live as it aired so it didn't feel that repetitive and always left you hanging which I liked. I could see if you binge watched how it could get old. I still think it's one the most entertaining shows I have ever watched and am glad it's coming back

true. But Jack is far more bad arse than the NSA and has saved more (fictional) lives directly (by far).

There are repetitive motifs, to be sure, such as the moles, but the storylines change every season and the personal drama intensifies as the show goes on. I think changing the location from LA to DC/NY (and "Sangala") helped keep things interesting.
