Duck ID help needed.

Shot this guy, and have no clue what it is. It was HUGE. A pair came in and this was the smaller of the two, no clue if its the drake or hen.

That's one of those ducks that a coonass will say taste fine in a gravy.

That's a shame, VERY rare duck for down here. They actually eat okay, but somewhat of a trophy, In 35 years of hunting down here have seen one.

I killed a couple on a lake in North Arkansas in the 90's.

Hardest plucking birds I have ever cleaned. I gave up picking them and tried to breast them. Even the skin was hard to get off the meat.

We also killed a Barrows Golden eye that same day.

We were hunting the backside of a hard freeze much like this latest one.

They got what ever the Feds tells them to have on ducks since they are migratory and yes, last time I checked.
