Bradley Thread, Part Deux

Because the other thread has turned into another silly MLS/Europe/USMNT retarded free for all debate.
I guess I understand the negativity and I'm kind of bummed about it too, but I don't think this will be as awful for his career as some of you guys. With the World Cup being as close as it is, at least he will be able to monitor his playing time and fitness levels, on his terms. This situation can't be much worse than what looked like was coming at Roma, a bunch of 80th minute subs and the odd start here and there.
Surely this isn't going to be a long term thing, right? Right?

I thought the debate became decent the last few pages.
What different to talk about in this thread than in the last one? ...
other than MLS/Europe/USMNT?

Lol
You can't talk about this without including mls/Europe/usmnt.

how many posts can you make about whether Bradley as a defensive mid will finally get TFC into supporter shield contention?

I dont like the move. He should go to the Dynamo instead and Stuart and Cameron should come back and they could all join Davis and we might be able to win another MLS cup

We haven't signed anyone.
Boswell went to DC.
Still waiting to see how much money we will have to spend. Should know next week.
Driver is gone; small chance he comes back (like only if no one else wants him)
HOPEFULLY Ibegha(spelling?) leaves college early and signs. He is a homegrown. And a GREAT young CB.
Other than that we have our backs up against the wall in regards to the cap and are gonna have to do some wiggling.
Boswell opened about 120k I believe. That's about all we have.
But if we keep the core and Omar stays healthy the whole year we could be good.
Looking like this right now
Omar-Bruin
Brad-Giles-Lopez-Boniek
Sarkodie-Taylor-Ibegha(Bruner)-Ashe
Hall
Not a bad lineup

Gooch is out of contract and from the DC area. DC United makes a lot of sense. I imagine Gooch will see what comes out of Europe in the transfer window.
Jermaine Jones wants out of Schalke and LA was one of the rumored destinations. They already have 3 DPs (Donovan, Keane, Gonzalez), so one would have to go to get Jones in.

I don't like this.
In a WC year, I want our best player to play against the best competition. He won't get that at TFC.
He should move to a mid-level club in Bundesliga or something.
I expected Altidore to come back before Bradley, to be honest.

Michael Bradley, who appeared for A.S. Roma in Toronto in last summer’s friendly, will join Toronto FC on a $10 million-plus transfer from the Serie A side, according to multiple ESPN reports.
The Reds are expected to pay him $5-7 million a season over five to six years.
Say it ain't so Baby Bradley.

Let me clarify. I was referring to how the other thread had turned into one of those discussions about the state of MLS, how it compares to European leagues, and how that affects our USMNT players, instead of just discussing Bradley to TFC. Reading it back today, I guess I wasn't clear on that. I be drinkin whiskey in the evenings.

And it is a great piece of business for Roma. He played well for them and they, and he got rewarded.
