This game was great. You were a wizard that visited different rooms while trying to put together a staff to defeat the final boss.

It was pretty hard, took me forever to beat it.

Also might have the greatest title screen music of all time. The music in the game in general is fantastic.

Who played it? Did you enjoy it? Did you put together the staff and defeat the final boss?

I had a feeling you had played it

Game was hard as shite, maybe the hardest game I have ever played.

I used to live right around the corner from a cheap rental store with a very respectable collection of NES and later SNES games, so my play list is huge.

One of the hardest easily.

Never played it, but I followed your link. That theme music is pretty wild - cant remember hearing anything like it on NES.

Remember when they used to make most games like this? It's sad how easy they are these days.

I never did beat Solstice. I couldn't remember where some of those jumps up into another screen and things like that were.

The SNES sequel, Equinox, was easier, but its music wasn't as good as Solstice, unfortunately.

I don't think I know anyone that did.

Might be the hardest game of all time, but that music

Played it as a kid. Had no idea wtf I was supposed to do so never did much with it.

Now that I think about it. Back then I never read a manual, just picked it up and if I couldn't figure it out within 30 attempts or so I'd move on. I was also between 5-8 years old so that probably had something to do with that.
