Remington's New Handgun (It's NOT a 1911).

Hey guys, I don't recall seeing this info here already, but SIAP. Remington is going to introduce a new handgun at the SHOT Show. Cliff's Notes version:
9mm for now w/ 40 S&W to follow.
+P rated.
7+1 capacity.
Single action.
Internal hammer.
Very smooth, dehorned external surface.
No external safety levers, only a grip safety.
Appearance wise, it reminds me of the Walther PPK.
Weighs only 20 oz.
Shipping in February (I'm guessing 2014, but who knows for sure).

It definitely is not a good looking gun, but if the trigger is as good as they describe it to be, they will sell a cheap lot at msrp of 389.00.
There aren't many handguns under 4 bills that has a decent trigger.

The rotating barrel is a nice idea. Most pistols utilize the locked-breech design so it's nice to see more of them branching out.
But until I shoot one, I'm not really sold on it. We'll see how the market likes it.
All I know for sure is that the amount of money that firearms manufacturers have made recently has allowed them to come up with some awesome ideas for new and existing products. I love seeing the creative juices flowing!!!

At a $350 price point and a lot of options, it'll sell pretty well

Looks like something James Bond would have.

I can dig it.
Edit:
Very PPK-esque. Small, compact... Think it'd make for a nice carry gun?
Surprised this doesn't appeal to more of you

The trigger is really very good and has the same feel as a 1911... A .40 caliber version will be next in the lineup.

Ugly as hell, I can think of lots of other pistols to spend my money on.
