Who's your pick for the best college football program from the BCS Era (1998-2013)

Honestly, not being a homer here, but I think LSU has had the best program throughout the ENTIRE era.

BCS Champ Games: 2003(win), 2007(win), 2011(loss)
BCS Bowl Games: 2001 Sugar(win), 2006 Sugar(win)

My main reason here is the consistency. Outside of the first few years, LSU has been a MNC contender and won 2 of 3

I would put Florida second. If Ohio State wouldn't have shite the bed in their last 2 champ games they would be in serious consideration

Alabama would get my most "dominant" program by winning 3 of 4 straight titles, but had a few "down" years until Saban got there

They do, but didn't want to start rambling on about teams that were obviously good too

Honestly, of florida doesn't go 4-8 this year then I would have seriously thought about them at number 1

LSU, Alabama and Oklahoma in no particular order

LSU made it to 3 title games, won 2. Most wins of the 3

Oklahoma made it to 4 title games, won 1

Alabamas 6 year run was better than all, but the pre Saban years hurt. 3 title games, winning 3.

Oklahoma has the most national title losses of any program.

National title appearances should hold a lot of weight.

Wow is that right? Just in the BCS era or all-time?

Oklahoma won all of the BCS games: NC, Rose, Sugar!, Orange, Fiesta. Plus played in Two more Natty's and lost another to Boise St. Gotta be OU.

LSU , Bama, OSU all right there too.

...come on man

For a very long time, there wasn't even an organized 1 vs 2.

What about Florida? Would you rather go 2 for 2 or 1 for 4?

I agree, Bama had the best stretch, but overall should not be #1. Pre-Saban was nothing more than what UT is doing now, struggling to have a winning record and go to the Music City Bowl.
