Congrats on your win. No question that you guys were the better team on NYD. I'm breaking this down into two sections. I'm sure the mouth breathers on this site will love the second part.

First, what you guys want to hear:

1. The key to the game was going to be the battle in the trenches and I thought we would have an advantage here. I was wrong. LSU's defensive line especially played very well and shutting down our run game really limited our offense.

2. Hill is a special talent and if he's leaving he will be missed. There was an obvious dropoff when he wasn't in the game.

3. Really like the demeanor of Jennings. He was thrown into the fire against a very decent defense and managed the game fairly well.

4. You guys have a lot of young talent and could be back in the BCS/national title race next year. The defensive backfield should be lights out. Obviously you have a lot of young talent coming in.

5. Honestly, one of the stars of the game for you was your punter. Holy cow does that guy have a leg. Whatever he did to cause the fumble was pretty special too ; )

6. Did I mention that you pretty much kicked our butts on the LOS? Really thought we could go toe to toe here, but Weisman had no room to run and by the time we did get any sort of run game going with Canzeri, it was time to play catch up. Hill took significant advantage of the holes your OL was able to provide.

7. I'm just going to post this and leave. No further comments from me until next season. If Iowa isn't in the top 10 next year, you won't have to deal with me at all anymore due to a bet with UpToPar. Hope he holds up his end of the deal if we are.

Now, what you really don't want/care to hear:

1. As poorly as the Iowa offense played, they still had a chance to tie/win the game. Iowa's defense played very well despite being on the field 10 min. longer than LSU's. This game had no business being close (on the scoreboard), but it was.

2. Jennings clearly has a lot to improve on. He's not going to have two awesome receivers to throw to and maybe won't have Hill to hand off to. Still should have a good group in front of him protection-wise. He may not be your starter next year from what I've heard of the competition heading his way.

3. Up until the last drive (which obviously counts), Iowa's defense had held the LSU rushing attack to 128 yards total. I think LSU's ten minute time of possession advantage really bit us in the arse here. I was hoping we'd get off the field and have good field position, as we'd held you in check pretty darn well after the first drive, but Hill had other ideas.

4. Rudock had a bad day, and it really didn't have anything to do with your defense in many instances. The deep ball to Powell was thrown short and late and should have been a TD as he was five yards behind your DB. Countless other passes were missed, including a wide open Fiedorowicz on the LSU 3 yd line prior to the missed FG, and I really think Rudock's knee was a factor, as evidenced by him leaving the game after the 3rd quarter without any contact injury from the game. He will be having surgery in the offseason.

5. I've said it before here and I'll say it again. I think Iowa will be in the top 10 next year. Much of it is due to an easy schedule, but a lot of it has to do with who we have coming back and the recruits we have coming in. Iowa lives and dies by their DL and they will almost all be back with good depth. We have good LBs waiting in the wings to replace our outstanding three seniors.

6. I wouldn't be surprised to see a rematch between the two of us next year either. We will be a better team than what you faced this year. I'm not sure if that will be the case for you guys. I think Miles will be on the hot seat if you don't show out better than you did this year.

Anyway, thanks to those who contributed to the good discussion here. Piss off to those who didn't. Really sad to see the quality of posting going down the drain compared to what it was like for our first matchup. I need to try to keep from getting dragged into the BS, but it's difficult to turn the other cheek.

Good luck to you guys next year. Always will appreciate the great LSU fans, which most of you are.

LSU certainly didn't take advantage of how well our defense played.

He didn't play his best game, neither did yalls.

Always been our gameplan. We want to wear out opponents and take advantage late in games.

I don't think we see a rematch, but wouldn't mind it. We did beat yall with our backup QB... And Miles on hotseat. Ha-Ha.

OK, one reply. So you guys would be okay with another Outback Bowl appearance next year?

Just checking, because it doesn't seem like most of you are on board with that.

And jennings over threw an open te that led to the game being closer than it was.

you don't fire a coach after a 10 win season in the SEC

most of you are on board with that.

most of the people here are borderline retarded and haven't liked Miles since the UT game in '05 and are too stubborn to admit they were wrong

Lsu started a freshman QB starting his first game who played like a freshman QB starting his first game and still won.

Iowa is not as good as you think they are. At least we "had a chance" even with Jennings playing like he did.

Thanks for posting Brew...disregard the tool responses, many fans are pissed due to their own unrealistic recruit announcement expectations this past weekend. All of your points are valid except Miles, he still has a lot of equity to burn.

Iowa is a team and fanbase in the B1G I can root for, so good luck to you guys next year.
