The Pilot episode was about as good as pilot episodes get. So awesome.

The Mulder-Scully years are some of my favorite shows ever.

The last couple of seasons are more misses than hits but still worth the time.
marathoning the show can be a bit of a chore with Scully's skeptical nature.

I used to watch these all the time. I may have to pick it back up since I'm come across a Netflix drought

Gillian Anderson is so hot

X-files was money until the last few years I kind of got lost and really quit watching but the first years were

Mostly good episodes. Some crappy ones. Show went on a few years too long.

Why would you bring up BB spoilers in an X-Files thread?
Edit that, brah.
As for X-Files, I always felt like that was a show that I would most likely enjoy, but there are SO frickING MANY episodes that I'd never really consider undertaking that chore to watch the series. And I fricking LOVED Fringe, and have heard several things about how it was in the same sort of vein as XF.
I'm interested to see Fox Mulder chime in on this thread, and I'll keep checking it if the OP bumps it with his thoughts as he progresses through the series.

Season 1 has some good episodes. "Squeeze", "E.B.E", "Eve" and "The Erlenmeyer Flask" are some of my favorite episodes

season 4, episode 2, Home is creepy as hell.

Home is probably the most disturbing hour of network television ever.
and it came out 16 years ago and still hasn't been topped.

Oh God… that one was fricked up.

A treat, you are in for
So many great episodes and a good overall narrative for about 3/4 of the show's run.
And you can see a lot of pieces of later shows in it. Most noticeably, Lost and Fringe,

How about the giant cell phone Fox used. It was the size of a suitcase

Home was definitely one of the creepiest show's I've ever watched. Wasn't the mother on a creeper rolled under the bed?

I ultimately found the overall plot of the show regarding alien colonization and government conspiracies to be underwhelming. It was a great show, and the central plot was good early on in the series, but they just dragged it out so long and threw in a lot of unnecessary elements, IMO. Still, an awesome show, but the "monster of the week" type of episodes are my favorites.
Scully gets on my nerves at times. No matter what she experiences with Mulder she refuses to accept it and constantly plays the skeptic yet if it's something remotely spiritual/religious in nature then she's willing to take leaps all of the sudden.

She gets a bit old. I mean, the 14th time a clone dies and a tree sprouts from its chest and grows into the heavens and attaches to am alien spaceship which explodes into a swarm of fairies, you kind of get sick of her saying there is a scientific reason for what happened.
