Any Tips on Protecting Queen Palms from Freezing?

I wrapped the neck as best I could with beach towels and wrapped my biggest one with a canvas tarp. I don't have heat lamps. Any other suggestions?

Only way to go IMO
Only thing better would be building a fire for yourself out of them

Do you have any regular shop lamps? They will be better than nothing.

Good luck. I had 4 die in two years when it snowed 2 years in a row in Houston. Wrapped the trunks and palms. No luck

Mine have lived through snow but the low 20's predicted tomorrow worry me. I have 2 sixteen ft and 3 about 10 ft.

Well yours are a lot more mature than mine were. Those will probably be ok. Mine died because it got down into the teens. You will get some burn on the palms, but should survive I would think. Just wrapped my birds of paradise in burlap. Hope they make it.

Christmas lights around them, then wrap in burlap. At least that's what I always do.

All my Xmas lights are LED so that does not help

Don't know about palms, but I water the hell out of everything before a freeze. Serious. The layer of ice it forms actually acts as a layer of insulation.

Also keep in mind when you cover your plants that you want the cover to go all the way to the ground. Per Dan Gil (the LSU plant guy), the real purpose of covering them is to gather the heat from the ground and use it to keep the plants warm. If your cover doesn't touch the ground you don't get that benefit. I use covers that touch the ground and shop lamps and that seems to help my citrus.
Good Luck
