Bryan Fischer @BryanDFischer
Al Golden staying at Miami per the school. Reported Munchak interview today gets interesting.

quote:

"There has been much speculation concerning my future at the University of Miami. While I am flattered that our progress at The U during an extremely difficult period of time is recognized, I am also appreciative of just what we have here at UM and I am not a candidate for another position. We are eager to welcome our student athletes back to campus next week and visit with prospective student-athletes and their families beginning January 15."

I'll never understand the hype behind this guy. He's the smartest career .500 coach I've ever seen!!!!!

Lol. That would probably help Miami. Having one of the worst defenses in college football two years in a row isn't a good thing.

His scheme/coaching talents are god awful. He plays the anti Miami defense which means doesn't like to attack or apply pressure. Most cane fans want golden gone because him n his best friend are a package deal.

He never beat a MAC team with a winning record at Temple. What was his signature win this season at Miami? Florida? Golden's all hat and no cattle.

I don't think Golden was offered the Penn St. job. I doesn't take much to think if Penn St. has a chance with Munchak or James Franklin they won't offer Golden.

hes a fine coach. but people talk about him like hes urban meyer 2.0 rising through the ranks. hes just not. though his fanboys will come and defend him to the end about it was temple! and NCAA sanctions! the guy will always have a built in excuse for losing.

to the golden supporters: who do i blame for the U being completely outclassed by louisville in their bowl game? theres no shame in losing to a real good louisville squad, but they were downright uncompetitive. and before the lackluster bowl game excuse comes out-- its not like anyone on the miami roster has ever played in a bowl, so its not like they are used to BCS bowls and this one was just underwhelming.
