Speedy, the talk was there
Willis, always just assumed he was an LSU lean, but he an Noil were always the hardest to read

But now Brown...this just seems odd. Because by all accounts he was one of the what seemed like more solid guys. How in the world can people be that off?

I was surprised too. I thought he was more of a "lock" than Paris in the beginning, especially with his sister at LSU.

Oh well, with White and RR, and if Toliver sticks, we are good at CB for the foreseeable future, so it doesn't hurt LSU that bad.

he got a late push by Nick Saban, and by all accounts, Saban blew away the family on the last visit.

Or you can say $$$$ like many others choose to do.

So was i. Brown was the biggest surprise for me! Evidently track or being with his sister wasnt as big of a factor as we thought.

As for speedy, i am not shocked. Just wish we hadnt pumped the brakes on Quille or not offered Cameron Sims. The sims offer would have changed the whole projectory of this class - IMO

It all happened very quickly. I live in the Beaumont area, and by all accounts he was all lsu. Then, end of novemberish, Saban came to Beaumont for an in-home visit. Brown was blown away by the message Saban gave him, Saban impressed Brown's parents, the rest is history. shite happens brah.

I posted this in the other thread but I'm shocked at Brown going so far from his family. He has talked nonstop about the importance of his family and how close they all are. His father just had a life threatening stroke, and with his sister at LSU, he's goin to Tuscaloosa? How far is that from Beaumont?

Nothing makes more happy then to see the Gumps lose last night after TB made his decision. Even his sister, Bealoved, said "Roll Tide"

Sometimes competition does matter. Brown will see early playing time at Bama. LSU is set at corner for 2014 and beyond.

I'm not really surprised. I posted here almost a week ago that Brown to Bama was a legit concern. Of course I was accused of being a hater. Now that he committed to Bama I am accused of having unrealistic expectations lol.

You can't acquire a real perspective from just reading this board alone. I also read the bama boards (not this site) and the chatter about Brown changed markedly almost a week ago. They were split into two groups: those who thought Brown was bagged and those who thought they had 50/50 at least. There is a lot of BS that you have to sift through just like you do on this site but you learn to locate legit smoke as opposed to just hot air. Plus you know who to talk to for objective takes without the kool aid.

Now Willis? I still can't believe that happened. I'm stunned. Even the Florida guys I talk with are stunned.

Apparently he wanted his position coach to be Saban. Every recruit knows that Saban personally coaches all the defensive backs. I bet they all go out for dinner and a movie after practice too.
One thing is obvious. He doesn't care at all about track

Did I watch the bama game? No, I don't give a shite about bama. Did you watch the majority of LSU games this season? Lsu's secondary was "suspect" at best this year. Who is to say he couldn't push for time here?
