I'm wondering if today's game plan pounding the ball was to entice Leonard Fournette. Think about it. We beat Iowa playing to their "strength" which was supposedly their run defense. Solid win today, and hopefully LF took note.

I think the game plan probably had more to do with the fact that we had a true freshman qb staying for the first time after it had rained all morning. And we have studs at RB.

Yes. The previous 4 years of recruiting wasn't enough. Neither was not signing any RB's for 2 years. The outback bowl gameplan was designed with a recruit in mind.

It was like watching the weekly noon Big 10 game on ESPN.

This game plan was designed with the conditions of the field, the strength of our team and a true Freshman making his first start. Good job by the Oline in run blocking today. Pass blocking wasn't that great, but the run blocking was awesome. Hill wanted to make a statement and he certainly did.

The defense was lights out. They scored on two short fields, but other wise the defense really played a great physical game.

No, it wasn't. That game plan was installed because:

1) It poured rain all morning and the field was wet and more conducive to running the ball.

2) We had a true freshman QB making his first start.

Of course the game plan was to win the game first and foremost and to play to our strengths. But we also have strengths in arguably the two best receivers in the country which weren't targeted hardly at all. LF just isn't any recruit. Just curious if he was in the back of the coaching staffs' minds, because they can kiss Beck and Landry bye bye after today. Just thinking outside the box.

If our coaches are making entire game plans, in bowls no less, just to entice some 18 year old kid to come to school here, we have huge fricking problems.

You don't install a game plan the morning of the game.

Yea, Les has been luring Leonard Fournette to Baton Rouge with this game plan for the last eight years.

Pretty awful game plan. Just my opinion though. We've had awful game plans since Florida. I fell asleep twice during the game.
