I liked it. I remember watching the original movie and enjoying it but really recall nothing from it.

Ben Stiller was really good. I enjoyed him a lot. Kristen Wiig usually annoys the shite out of me. But her suckiness did not completely distract from the movie. I think any number of women could have played her role though.

I foresee a lot more vacations planned to Greenland and Iceland now.

Very good movie to watch with SO or kids.

***Spoilers below***

Antagonist was cheesy and forced. The movie could have been just as good without him and all that other crap.

I totally knew it was in his wallet the entire time. Kind of predictable.

My wife and I loved the movie. I thought Stiller was great. The scenery and soundtrack were awesome. The guy on the boat was hilarious. As far as Adam Scott, does he ever play a different type character? Every character I see him play is the same smart arse/a-hole/uppity type character. Kristen wiig. Unfortunately does the same too. But still the movie was great.

Better than expected, but no big deal. Oswald is a nice addition.

The original was better IMO. Ben Stiller is a hit or miss these days.

Two month bump. Caught this on HBO and have watched twice. It had an almost Jonze/Kaufman feel. Stuck around for the credits and was suprised to see that Stiller directed. But I totally agree that

Adam Scott pretty much grew a terrible beard and did his Stepbrothers role.

Aside from that, it was a really nice bit of film. Not exactly a dark comedy, but certainly not well-lit. Also, the indie soundtrack fit perfectly with some great visual moments.

Now I have to see the first one.

He does seem to have knack for playing the over-confident yuoung douchebag: Step Brothers, Walter Mitty, and Eastbound and Down come to mind.

But he's pretty much the polar opposite character in Parks and Rec.

I thought it was great, It was way better than I expected. The soundtrack and cinematography was great, which isn't always the case in recent movies.

I'm watching it right now. It's not bad. Except I'm super ADD, so when he goes into one of those trances where he imagines stuff, I stop paying attention. I know it's not real, so I don't care.

It's gotten pretty great. Love this scene with SP right now.

Agree all around except for the last.

Some of the dream sequences were getting a little overboard, mostly early-mid.

But overall really loved it.

Didn't know that. Pretty cool. I like Ben stiller, he does pretty good when he has a serious role. Similar to Steve Carrell. I like seeing comedy actors branch out and prove they have some acting chops.

Most comedy actors are brilliant in dramatic roles.

The reverse, however, is not true.

It is easier to make people "feel" than laugh.

Also, this is my favorite recent DVD purchase. But I like this type of film.

wasnt for me. took a screenwriting class and on the last day, everyone brought a movie that we could vote to watch. I brought No Country For Old Men. we were the final 2 in the bracket and Walter Mitty won. I was so shocked and butthurt that I think it affected my enjoyment

I remember when I watched this last year or whatever when it was on demand I took a lengthy phone call right in the middle, like when he actually started doing stuff like swimming with sharks and skateboarding down mountains. So that kind of totally took me out of it, and I couldn't remember how it ended until somebody said the wallet thing.

It was very well done though, very beautifully shot.

You don't get the entire point of the film, do you?

That was the point.

He wasn't dreaming anymore at the end, he was living it. It was heavy on those at the beginning for effect.
