If Briles does go to Texas(Big If), who goes to Baylor?

If Briles does go to Texas, I could see players like Seastrunk, etc. bolting for the NFL
Baylor has a lot returning at the offensive skill positions, but is losing a lot on defense, which is why I think in 2014 they have a similar year to what A&M had this year, which is score a lot of points but also give up a lot of points and lose in shootouts.
Also Baylor opening up a new stadium.
What kind of pull does Baylor have in attracting a head coach that can get things rolling? Do they pluck a head coach from a mid major school or low tier major school, or go the assistant route and try to grab someone like Chad Morris?

People within the heart of the Baylor program are pretty confident that Briles stays long term. He is older, new stadium, and they give him what he wants. Plus, they say they are paying him more than anyone thinks. FWIW

A guy who hasn't been out of the state for more than a few days is going to take a job in DC?

most seem to think their OC Montgomery is slated to be their next coach one way or another

Didnt Baylor guarentee the entire 50mil to Briles or something crazy like that?

Promote Phil Bennett from DC. That hire maintains continuity while getting someone with head coaching experience. Not saying it's the best hire, but a reasonable hire for a school like Baylor. Of course Briles would probably take a bunch of his staff to Texas though, so I don't know how much continuity they'd have after all of the dust has settled.

Last time Phil Bennett was a head coach, he was at SMU and they were terrible.

He followed Briles when Briles jumped from HS to college and I think he would follow Briles at Baylor when / if Briles leaves.
