I've never used one personally, but saw W&F using one at the boat launch a few weeks ago. Looked effortless and clean. nice product

Nope. Got a better way. Slice skin down the breast and pull away to the side. step on neck and butt end. Insert one or two fingers under breast plate. one or two at head end under top of breast and pull up. Breast will come right on out with both wings. Clip wings and done. We have to leave one wing on in camp in case GW checks. One limit per bag with hunter name and date on bag.

If you want skin left on for a broth or whatever. Pluck the breast and do the same.

My pow pow has used one for the past few years, great results.

My dad uses one. Because of his gut, he can't bend over far enough to pull the breast out by hand.

I have a couple buddies that use this method.

breasting birds is pretty easy without a machine

You can hook a goose up to that rig, just need 4 or 5 hands on the backside to strip it all the way

I have always just laid them on their backs and plucked away some feathers, made a shallow cut and stripped skin then used a knife to remove breasts from the bone. Then pulled skin on down over legs and dislocated hip joint and cut legs off the bird and then cut through ligaments at lower leg joint and taken both legs.
doesn't take long and my meat is freezer bag ready.
Im curious do yall then remove breast from bone at the house if using the above contraption?

I've recently contemplated whether or not I'm wrong for not wanting skin on them when I brown them for a gravy.
If it's geese (exception specs) I wouldn't hesitate to do that if it were to throw them in a gumbo.

I like to leave the skin on when i brown them. Specifically teal.
More work but the results are hard to deny

never tried it unless I was going to roast them and that came out miserable the two times I tried it.

Knowing me, I'd probably put the sharp end threw the actual breast and just ruin half my ducks.

I've been eyeing one for years. That and a plucker

We have one we use in Canada every year. Leave it at the farmers house we stay at. Works great if u have to travel with birds cuz it leaves wings attaches. Otherwise we just breast em out the regular way with a pocket knife
