The Decline

Is landing possibly the most highly rated class in the history of a program consistent with a team that is in a downward spiral? If yes, then it is with a very heavy heart that I have to concede that the doubters are correct. Our program is in a terrible, terrible decline.

And why not? There's enough negativity and gnashing of teeth any time some douchenozzle interprets an 18 year old's tweet post. Thus, I'm ignoring the fluffery and b.s., and simply focusing on the fact that Thursday is going be a really good day for LSU. If you expect to be hanging onto the "insights" of "recruiting gurus", then I can promise you you are in for a roller coaster ride until Thursday...even with the most solid of commits.

Gotta see what he does with said recruits.....Maybe he goes full Dale Brown and loses with a Shaq, Chris Jackson, and Stanley Roberts. It's really why they play the games.

The decline is such a joke. The Tigers have played arguably the toughest schedule these last 3 years and are one play and a rematch away from 2 more NC's. Why cant the world understand this?
2 road losses by a FG keep the Tigers out of a BCS bowl this year with a very average defense that saw all its stars enter the NFL last year.
Who out there wouldve done better in the SEC west than LSU the last 3 years?
Wont take long to call roll thats for sure
LSU and Bama have given the blueprint on how to become and maintain an elite program in todays CFB. Unfortunately, others are watching and have just about caught up. It always happens in sports once the bar is set, teams will find a way to get over it.
Things are always changing and its difficult to keep up. Look around at who is handling the adversity and prospering. Our Tigers have shown that they can handle anything that happens to them.
It will be fun watching the real decline and lets see how they adapt. They dont like their OC now and if the DC ever grows a chest and takes his own gig, we will find out if they can keep up.
How many top coordinators can actually work and prosper with Nick. Nick knows there are very few. Just look at this year with the OC. He has to convince the school to pay the assistants top money to get them to stay like it is.
Other schools are paying more as well and let u have a life. Add in that Nick just ate another 2 million a year from the budget and its very possible that Nick will have a difficult time finding disciples to grind with him, and yet still give him all the credit. There were rumblings this year that his autocratic style is rubbing people wrong and they were ranked #1 almost all year.
It could be a monumental meltdown.
