Eckhart is horrible. I would have considered seeing it if ANYONE other than he were playing Frankie.

Exactly. It looks like crap and it reminds me of Priest or Legion in its level of crumminess. Those are two bad movies I'm a sucker for.

my review of the trailer
looks like it will be around the level of Van Helsing in that there will be some pretty cool ideas and interesting usage of Gothic horror monster lore but overall it will be a muddled mess with a disappointing storyline and very uneven CG.

I like Eckhart a lot, but this looks like a CGI nightmare. I agree with everyone that said it looks like a Van Helsing, Legion, Priest, Constantine, etc....we all know how this is gonna go.

I like movies like this so yeah I'm gonna see it. Could care less what some of the "sophisticated" critics on this board think. If I'm entertained, then that was a good movie. And I don't critique a movie til it's over and then only as a whole. Heck, I can critique the little things in any movie.
As for Eckhart, after his role in Battle for L.A. I like him in these kind of movies better than when he is in the romantic comedy movies.
With all that said, I hope it doesn't suck.
