Would Mark Ingram blossom if he left the Saints (a la Reggie Bush)?

I don't think Payton knows how to use him.

he could produce some modest numbers but i don't think he'll ever be a stud back.

He would definitely have a better chance. Saints gave him the ball 4.8 times per game.

The guy led the saints with 4.9 ypc this season.

What do people want from the guy?

he's alright in a limited role. i don't think he'll ever be a 20+ carry a game lead back.

Who's ultimately the better RB? Ingram or Richardson? There were times this season when Ingram looked a lot better than Richardson. I know Ingram could stay healthy for an entire season, he may finally find his stride.

When your carries result in 3 and outs then you can't get many more than 4 a game.

To even ask that means you know next to nothing.

He certainly looked much better this season.

He's still injury prone, and he's having to share snaps with 2-3 other guys. If he can stay healthy and land on a team that can get him 15+ carries a game, I think he'd do well. I don't think that opportunity will ever come in New Orleans.

Id be afraid of givin Ingram more that 7-10 carries. He spazzes out after everyone so 15 might give him an aneurism

I bet if you gave Mark Ingram a bag of Donut Holes he'd ask you what was there...seeing as he cant see a hole to save his life.

Thomas averaged 1.2 less yards per carry than Ingram.
Thomas had zero 20+ runs to Ingram's three.
Thomas had a long of 18, while Ingram had a long of 34.
Ingram averaged more per game than Thomas.
