Pussification of Football

Starting safety for Navy was just ejected for targeting. The replay shows it was clearly a clean hit, but the refs said the call is confirmed. I'd link a video but it just happened.

It's become one of the most annoyingly overused words on this site. It doesn't bother me as much as adding "sessed" to the end of team names, but it's on my list

I don't understand how you can get ejected for doing something on accident. "Targeting"? what's the opposite of that? "Avoiding".

Yep saw it live and it didn't even deserve a penalty. It really is becoming a shame these crappy rules are ruining football

It sucked he was ejected but it was the right call based on the definition of the rule. Targeting includes launching yourself which the Navy player did. It doesn't matter that the hit was clean.

The pussification of football sucks, but at least it hasn't been analized.
