All bowl tie-ins should be scrapped. South Carolina would have sold it out.

Yes, just let the bowls set up whatever matchups they want.

They used to do that and we got unranked 6-4-1 Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl v #3 Colorado and people bitched and moaned that more deserving teams got the shaft, so if you're cool with 8-4 Texas going to the Fiesta instead of an 11-1 team that beat them and won their conference then letting the bowls pick who they want is for you.

Maybe Baylor just has shitty fans.

That's possible, but what is undeniable is that a trip to the Fiesta Bowl is a shitty deal. Not shelling out all that money for this game has nothing to do with whether or not a fan base is shitty or not. Paying all that money to go to this game is just a dumb thing to do, actually.

But A&M fans assured me that the game was sold out earlier in this thread.

RT @TheHawkHeaven: Top 5 schools by % of allotted bowl tickets sold:
Iowa 95%
Louisville 88%
#Baylor 71%
Maryland 70%
Utah St 67%

They just did a shot of the upper deck and there was not a single person in a good 3-4 sections of seats

Yeah it's almost hard to remember when these BCS Bowls actually sold out. Now, we have BCS Bowls (outside of the Rose and National Championship) with partially filled stadiums.

when they put a different one on every night ths #'s started going down. The mid week games are killer on people. When i went to the Sugar Bowl it was on new years day and the place was packed.

Agreed, though if you're referring to 2006 it also helped that it was in Atlanta and UGA was one of the teams (thank you for taking care of business BTW )
