He does have one of the best defensive players in the country. Although, I don't think it has anything to do with his coaching.

Not exactly. Dinardo cost Dinardo his job, because he was either too stupid, too stubborn or both, and would see what even Stevie Wonder could see: Lou Tepper was inept as defensive coordinator.

If Dinardo had fired Tepper and gotten a decent DC, he'd have stayed a few more years.
