Pathon dived over the line and I started screaming YES! YES! YES! YES! YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!! and I had to call my dad right away.

I called him and we chatted during the replay review, then when Carney lined up to kick, I think he heard it a few seconds before I did.

After that, I took a walk and I wondered if what i had seen was even real... This was before Payton and Brees, so we were a "by the way" story. We had playoff hopes going into the day, but they had been cut short by other teams winning. In retrospect, that makes our win over playoff bound Dallas in the final week even more impressive.

Was in Prague during the dallas game. I don't think I've ever been more depressed about the saints other than the Katrina San Antonio rumors

If I recall, the extra point decided our playoff fate first. A game later that date would've knocked us put anyway, but it certainly didn't help make this loss feel better.

Agree with whoever said this was most depressing day as a Saints fan I've experienced.

That play really summed up being a Saints fan at the time.

I still remember Henderson's call "How could he do that"!

I was at a Christmas party in Chalmette. On the way back home, Buddy D was at his best, the intro was about how if you think you know every way to blow a game the Saints will show you, you are wrong. The first caller said we should have went for two and Buddy hung up on him and called him a squirrel.

that's funnier 10 years later than it would have been 10 minutes after the game...

I was in my living room with my family. I'm pretty sure my grandpa (cowfags fan) started talking shite after the miss.

i was pretty depressed during any of the following

2002 colts
2005
2006 bears
2010 seattle
2011 49ers
2012

2003 jags was weird...i was like WTF...but at the same time amazed that such a play even worked in the first place...the haslett years were the most awful fun any fan could possibly tolerate.
