Ingram has been running hard the last few games. For us to win this game, we need to run it....and run it with authority. It will open Brees to disect them and keep them honest all game. We also need to play ball control and dominate time of possession. Time for some old fashioned football boys!!

I actually agree with the idea of Ingram getting more carries then he has been getting, but the O-line sucks too much to give anyone 20 carries.

Pete: "Hey Sean, perhaps we should try to run it".
Sean: "Run what? Wtf is a run?"

Yes. Thomas isn't going to be a feature back again. Might as well go all out on Ingram and at least see what you have.

When was he ever a feature back?

Anyway, to answer the OP, yes.
I was gonna say that we are better running Ingram when we're winning in the trenches since he's better in space (While PT is better at getting through the line).
But the last game, Ingram ran pretty well despite the OL getting dominated at the line.
Of course, he only got one run.

If it doesn't happen, it'll be because you didn't believe hard enough.

I'm fixing to pull up some old NFL Films clips off of Youtube with the nostalgic music and what not...

and marvel at the three yards and a cloud of dust.

kind of like summoning the invisible swordsman like they did in Three Amigos... I don't know.

Would you prefer the term 'primary option?'

Absolutely not. If any RB on this team deserves 20 carries its Thomas

I (as well as many others) stated that MI was a flop and a waste of carries. Evidently MI got the message that CSP was attempting to convey with the benching/injury situation earlier. He has been much more passionate, decisive, and explosive in his opportunities over the last few weeks. What I am most pleased with is his new found ability to break tackles.

In short...I am definitely on board with giving him 20+ Sunday. When January gets here we will definitely need him to be able to tote the rock for 20+ and wear down defenses....so let him get into a rythm with the line now.

The FO also needs to see if he can handle the load and be productive over long stretches prior to going into the draft. If he can be the man with PT and Sproles as assets then it helps to shape the draft board for the offseason.

We obviously need to run more, but running 20+ times with one player probably isn't a winning formula against the #1 ranked run defense.

I don't know about 20+ to Ingram, but give 20+ to someone or a combo of someones. shite, just run the ball a little.
