10 (tie). Anthony Jennings, LSU

It's hard to make strong assertions on a prospect's potential based on only 10 throws, but Jennings is such a special player that he deserves a spot on this list. Although he only played briefly as a backup to Mettenberger this season, Jennings made quite an impression on the SEC by engineering a 99-yard drive against Arkansas with the game on the line. The confidence and poise displayed by Jennings in that moment was impressive, but it matches the reputation that preceded his arrival at LSU. If he continues to deliver big plays in big moments, Jennings could vault to the top of the list by the time he finishes his work as a Tiger.

Well, pretty much every good SEC QB is graduating this year. It's going to be a lot of guys we've never seen before, or guys that we know are serviceable, but unspectacular, like Nick Marshall or Dak Prescott.

That change after the bowl game. AJ will move to or near the top of the list.

The result of that drive was impressive, but his poise vaulted to this list. A freshman, backed as far back as you can be, throwing from the end zone like it was nothing...not to mention dropping that ball to the TE, looping it over the lb with touch.....Yeah, its early, but you have to put him somewhere close to the top, as to not look so bad, if he takes off....Oh yeah, that wasn't the winning play, but it was the clutch one..

I can tell you don't watch Michigan ball. He does what he does with no running game and a terrible offensive line. I believe three of those guys are freshman. Outside of 5'9 Gallon at WR and Funchess at TE, he doesn't have many receiving threats. He has to be a playmaker because he doesn't have a supporting cast worth a flip.

ETA Gardner's stats for the year: rated 1st or 2nd in nearly every category in the B1G , despite having a horrible offensive line, weak defense, and no run game.

On the Jennings note, I feel he'll be either #1 or #2 in the SEC next year in terms of stats and success. Dude is going to have a loaded supporting cast.

It's great to see that his performance in that game has gotten him some recognition. This is more than enough of a good start to earning him the accolades that he has set for his goals.

A knockout performance against Iowa will have him and LSU very well represented in preseason polls.

Did you watch any other games? Sure that was his first major action, but he has played in spots all year.

I remember reading (don't know where exactly), that AJ was graded higher than Manziel and Mariota coming out of high school.

Can you imagine him performing anywhere near as good as the two have the last two years?

The potential for his, and the Tigers, performance and success is something I look forward to watching the next few years.
