Saban Still In Play For Texas Head Coaching Position?

It's been awful quiet on the Texas side. If they were in such a panic, why haven't they moved on this with a bit more urgency? Maybe they are waiting until after the bowls. That would give them and Saban more time to work things out.

use your brain, if he took the Texas job after agreeing on an extension and publicly saying he "never considered" going there it would be Miami for him all over again.

I think Saban signing the extension was just to shut everyone up until after the bowls. I doubt he wanted to be the Texas coach while Brown was coaching his farewell game and vise versa. I think this is a strong possibility. I just can't see UT pushing Brown out without a replacement in place or taking this long to even start interviewing.

Then why did he make all the quotes about "finishing my career at the university of alabama", "tuscaloosa has become home for us", etc? It's time we let it go. He's likely going to retire at Bama. Move on.
