CB situation next year

Reading lots of talk on this board about drafting a CB in the top 3 rounds of the draft this year.
While I understand the current situation pushing most to think about that, is the CB situation next year as bad as some think?
Assuming no more major injuries, your CB depth next season will be:
Lewis
White
Sweeting
Let's assume Greer is not coming back next season.
A lot of people are forgetting about Patrick Robinson. While I know he struggled last season, Ryan's system is one that greatly fits his skill set and hopefully he'll recover nicely.
Hopefully, the team will have a good feel for his health going into the draft in May, which will be 8 months post injury.
Assuming he comes back, and Greer is done, you've got a top 4 CB rotation of:
Lewis
White
P Rob
Sweeting
That's not too horrible if you ask me.

Lewis is a lock starter.
I go back and forth on White.
He has rough games, but he also has games where he's better than Lewis.
I'm think he might be a starter next season.

Problem is there's just no quality depth. Who knows how Prob will come back from injury and same for Greer who is probably done.
Would love for us to pick up someone like Claiborne from Dallas who Rob Ryan basically hand drafted.

If Lewis or White gets hurt, we're screwed.
CB needs to be addressed....again

Claiborne has been terrible and is under contract for at least 2 more seasons.
PRob was actually solid before the disastrous Spags season. He had a QB rating around 80 when thrown on in 2011, which is solid. I'm not against drafting one, but Lewis/White/PRob + getting Greer back midseason is good enough to wait another year.

he'll need to rework that contract in which he very well may... hopefully he recovers well

Why would he re-work his contract? He will be back no matter what and has no reason to re-work his contract.

he's got no more guaranteed money left and we're not paying him 4.4 million next year coming off an injury with his age and declined play.

He has $2.65m remaining from his signing bonus.

They're either wrong about his contract structure or wrong that he has no guaranteed salary remaining. Signing bonuses are prorated evenly throughout each year of the deal.

Not enough depth for me to feel good about it.
I would be comfortable taking a corner in the 3rd or 4th.

i got no idea, i understand you dividing his signing bonus by 4, either way, its not enough to keep him around. He's not getting paid the 4.4 next yr.

With us picking late in the draft again, I expect all the quality linemen to be gone. With that said, I am really hoping we select CB Dennard from Michigan State. He's a baller and he loves hitting, would be a perfect fit with Vaccaro.

I'd love to get Dennard as well, and we probably jump on him if so. But every mock I've seen so far doesn't have him lasting past the twenties

Dennard would be a great addition, its possible he'd be out of our draft reach. We are a long ways away from draft time, all sorts of crazy shite happens between then and now.

The thing that helps us though is that this a QB/OL/DL heavy draft. There is also a lot of depth at CB as well. Verrett, Purifoy, Roberson, Dennard, Gillbert(Sp?), Fuller could all be around.
