There has to be a reason why every Texas booster was so sure Saban was coming to town. I'm skeptical of this, but it's a fascinating read:

Those poosays just cannot. Accept their mediocrity. Maybe if they say it enough it will come true.

Would be awesome if true. It's amazing that that Ft. Worth Star Telegram guy broke that it was a done deal. I wonder who his source was that made him make such a bold statement?

The author of that article needs to scale back his use of hallucinogenic drugs just a tad.

These idiots still refuse to believe that they were just the latest school to be played by Jimmy Sexton.

Since the contract extension wasn't enough maybe next year when the season starts they'll get the hint.

They were convinced that they could get any coach in the country. Now that it's become obvious that they can't, they are trying to save face.

Sips will be lucky to sign up kiffin. Maybe they can get really lucky and land Weiss. Nobody worth a dang wants to be afilliated with that place. Its like a giant dumpster filled with the used hypos of aids infested heroine junkies then set ablaze.

But is it OUT of the realm of possibility? Probably not

About a month ago I heard a Texas reporter talking about Saban and he said "If Texas wants someone they get him". So maybe they just did not want him.

Everything sounds plausible except that last line.

That is total nuts. Saban would have waited longer to sign if he really wanted to hear from Brown first. This was about a new contract. Had to make it look like he wasn't greedy. I bet most of this article is a total lie. Terry never went to Austin. She couldn't do that and tell WSJ that they are retiring in t-town. That happened about the same time.
