Not on AP, CBS, or SI?!?! How the hell does he not make any of the teams? Were these voters living under rocks?

I don't know why everyone is so surprised. Yea he's a great WR but he didn't put up all American stats.

Doesn't matter. He'll be laughing all the way to the bank in the NFL. I think he'll go higher than OBJ.

30th in the country in rec/game, 18th in yds/game, 18th in total TDs

He made some amazing catches to help us win games, but those are not All American stats.

His stats don't really reflect his value IMO. Not many people know about how clutch he has been (third-down conversions, NEVER dropped the ball, etc.) and how important he is as a blocker. As a previous poster said, he will be laughing all the way to the bank. Will have a great pro career.

Ultimate "clutch" receiver IMO with huge NFL upside. He may get knocked in the draft for his speed, but he has amazing hands. Amazing to think how far he's come since early 2012.

He would look great in aqua & orange. I've seen enough of him in purple & gold.

Agreed

No way, imo. I love Landry but OBJ has freak athleticism and that is more attractive to NFL teams.

Great player, probably one of the best 5 receivers in the country, but as for All-American, his stalk blocking stats just don't sway the voters enough. Even with a slightly more open attack this year, LSU just doesn't throw the ball enough to get a receiver on the All-American team. Add into it, that he played opposite another All-American caliber receiver, and Landry just had no shot.

It doesn't make him any less of a player. The NFL doesn't set his draft status based off of his post season awards.

Maybe. But only because of his potential as a return guy. Landry will make a better NFL WR.

He also didn't make the 1st team SEC

But like people have said, that is definitely not indicative of how he played. He was very very valuable out there

Keith Jackson caught a total of 62 passes for his four year career at Oklahoma and he was a two time consensus All American and is a member of the college football hall of fame.

Stats aren't everything.

Everyone keeps referencing his stats as below par, but he is not far behind some guys that are currently on some lists.

This is why he should come back and prove he is one the best in the country. This year was certainly no accident and another year will prove that

All-American status is a stat based award; there are different special awards for players that are MVP.

MVP not equal to All-American.

So based on this I think he should decide to come back.
