I say IRL to keep out the probability that the stories from this site and others are just trolls.

The one i had today was a Bama fan that claimed that they were signing 15 5 star recruits and 7 from the state of Louisiana including Fournette and Cam Sims (which he claimed was a 5 star)

The best one i had was a while back early in the season when a Saints/Bama fan (actually he proclaimed he was a Michigan fan until they started to suck) and claimed that Drew Brees was the only QB in the league that was allowed and had the ability to audible at the line of scrimmage. He said Brady on the other hand can only change protections

His proof of this and i quote," I watch First Take every day and they never show Tom Brady making an audible. But they do show Brees doing it"

Darwinism has failed apparently.

Any good ones yall got?

My Alabama buddy said that Alabama could beat multiple NFL teams.

I had to laugh and walk away.

Auburn fans trying to defend how lucky theyve been this year by saying it happens to lots of teams.

An LSU fan that I know from B'ham said that LSU would have blown UA out this year if the FB hadn't fumbled.

I just nodded and changed the subject.

Same guy from the first story told me that Bama will be better than they were this year

Which is what he told me they would be after last year as well....

I feel like this is a pretty common argument, but I recently had one with an LSU "fan" after all the coaching salaries cam out with Miles at 7. The guy refused to acknowledge that in terms of on field success, Miles was unarguably the 2nd best coach in the country. And that LSU was getting greater return on investment when compared to Oklahoma and Texas.

Once he stopped arguing that point, he just switched to "coaching salaries are ridiculous."

That Philip Rivers is a top 5 and "great" QB.

Most of my friends back home are Cubs fans, so every April is a festival of delusion.

I had a buddy who played TE in high school. Decent athlete, played 1A ball and didn't get any individual awards(not even all-district).
Went on to play a year at Louisiana College. Came back and said with the training he got, he was so much better and more physical that he could have 1500+ yards and 30 TDs receiving if he had another year in high school.
Keep in mind, this guy is about 6-2, 200 pounds and ran about a 4.9 forty time. I laughed in his face.

My 2 most recent ones I can remember and most involve FSU students who don't know shite about things other then FSU football and even then.

"EJ Manuel is a pussy, get extra yards don't run out of bounds". Welp I like my QBs to be alive.

"Why didn't Telvin Smith win any defensive awards, he's the best LB in the country" I guess CJ Mosley or Anthony Barr cease to exist.

Definitely the college fan claiming their team could beat an NFL team. In the early 2000's it was Miami fans, mid 2000s it was USC fans, and now it is Bama fans.

I actually had a family member's boyfriend, who is a Bama fan, claim that Bama's defense could shut the Saints offense down (and this was in 2011 when the Saints set the NFL record for most offensive yards in a season). I was so dumbfounded by the statement, I didn't have a counterargument. So he was able to walk away thinking "he showed me."

Since the topic is delusional, it has to be some conversation I've had with Georgia fans over the years.
