Seems like Montey has no interest in him.

Is there any realistic trades we would want to make for Rivers to Boston besides draft picks?

Found this interesting: from Celtics blog twitter

Then he dropped this bomb. "One player I've been told to keep an eye on is Austin Rivers in New Orleans. A guy that Danny Ainge liked a lot in the draft. They even thought about moving up in the draft to get him." He mentioned offering up a first round pick near the bottom of the draft (presumably talking about the Clippers pick).

Not sure how that makes a lot of sense except in terms of buying low (if indeed Ainge thinks he's better than he's shown in the NBA thus far).

No thanks. Wallace is awful and his contract is awful. He has one of the worst contracts in the league. Way worse than Gordon's. He is 31 and has a $10 mil per year contract that is through 2016.

Good lord no

You think Gordon's contract is bad? Wallace's is just as bad AND he's totally washed up

Jeff Green's decent, but not a great contract either

I like the trade mac just proposed:

We get chandler from den
Bos gets Austin and Fournier
DEN gets Bradley and Aminu

Maybe a pick goes to one of those teams to satisfy all parties?

I posted this a few weeks back

quote:

Sons, before you go all disappoint on me, hear me out

We send Gordon to Boston for Kris Humphries and Jared Sullinger

For Boston, they let Jeff Green slide to SF and Gordon to SG. Both are under contract for a few years giving them a solid foundation for a rebuild

For us, we get Humphries and his expiring $12m as well as Sullinger, who is cheap and under control for a few years. Sullinger could provide nice depth off the bench; you can never have too much of that. Stiemsma and Smith are FA after this year and we will need some size in the front court.

More importantly, it frees up some money to balance out the roster. You could spend the money on a stud or on two good players who will add to our depth. Address needs at SF and C.

If you could turn that trade into, let's say, a Danny granger and Gortat, then you'd be doing alright. Granger may come really cheap if he can't bounce back this season.

Other FA SF and C of note. Could we look for a vet presence for a few years?

Pierce
Marion
Deng
Butler

Pau
Gortat
Hawes
Okafor

Could add in Rivers and tweak the deal a bit. Gimme da monies

Rivers for a LAC first rounder seems like a good deal to me.

I like it. Gordon Hayward will be a RFA and would be a nice young SF that can hit 3s. Pierce ain't happenin. We cojld sign hayward and another piece

Hayward isn't going anywhere until his second deal is up.

I'm happy you were able to illustrate your point with brevity this time. I knw I'm attractive, but I'm not gay. I do know an exotic massage parlor near the stadium, where you can request that service. Not my kind of place, but you don't have to worry about STDs, give it a go.
