There is about 10 seconds when they play Birds Of A Feather in the background. That 10 seconds is yay, the remainder is nay.

If you can get over...

A. Van Der Beek's character being a whiny bitch

B. the idea that the characters are supposed to be in high school when they clearly engage in stuff that is more suitable for people in their mid twenties rather than teens

Then it is a really good show. Katie Holmes' hotness makes up for alot.

Michelle Williams looked better in the beginning than towards the end

Yea - good music, solid 90s teen angst, hot 90s chicks, adult-themes and wit that the 90s didn't always embrace, can still hold up in 2013 if viewed again

Nay - overly-sentimental, college years were kinda bleh, some boring arcs that dominated screen time often, Dawson's overly-effeminate behaviors, lots of crying and emo tropes

Overall yea, but I can see the nay side as well

A bunch of 30 years olds in high school, but somehow never in class.

The Joey/Pacey angle in season 3 was the apex of the show. It was never as good after that

They were in school enough - the show didn't revolve around their school day, and that's fine with me

Big yay. Makes me want to sit by the fire and drink a nice hot chocolate or coffee every time I watch it.
