...will put their playoff seeding future squarely in the hands of the Atlanta Falcons (assuming the Saints take care of Tampa at home in Week 17).

Has this sunk in for anyone else? Is this real life?

HOLY shite, we need this one Sunday.

Can't ever rely on a bad team to win for you.

This is the season. If they can't beat Carolina on the road with EVERYTHING on the line, none of it matters, because they aren't a championship team.

2 seed = beat carolina

2 seed = beat Tampa, Atlanta beats Carolina

pretty simple.

why should we keep in mind something you're not even sure of?

Yea the Cardinals are gonna beat Seattle in Seattle (when Seattle Still needs a win to Secure #1 seed) and San Fran in Arizona when they are still competing for the #5 seed. Yea, I'm scared out of my mind.

Exactly. Despite yesterday's debacle, this team still controls its chances to win the division and get a first round bye. It won't be easy, but Sunday is almost like a playoff game. One game with a title on the line. If they go out and get hammered on the road for the 3rd time in as many games, then I think it will be pretty clear to all that this likely won't be a super bowl year.

I like going to the playoffs.

But with the payroll we have, the QB we have, the Coach we have...its Championships or bust.

Well, the good news is it looks like you guys got the playoffs in the bag. No way Arizona is beating SF and SEA in back-to-back weeks. However, if you lose the Division to CAR, you'll be a pretty good lock for #6. That would be a murderous away schedule this year.

That'll be their fifth road loss (out of 8 games), four of which would be 'big game' atmospheres (Pats are a premier team, Seattle was for #1 seeding, Rams was to lock up playoff spot #2, upcoming Panthers game ditto). So… given that track record you have much confidence in them railing off three road playoff wins in a row to get to the Super Bowl?

Well if they hadn't lost to the rams, they wouldn't be in this predicament. But since they are, they do have to win, but with their past history of sucking on the road, who knows?
