Can he do any worse than the other wide receivers right now (besides Marques Colston)?

We have some of the best receivers in the league. We got behind early and teams play pass protect D. It's not a secret that's the way to beat the Saints.
Fortunately, last week we rebounded from a terrible 1st Q vs. Carolina. That didn't happen today. Our entire premise is to grab the early lead. We'd best do that next week.

If a guy isn't ready to contribute at all by the end of his 2nd season it's not likely he's going to be a major factor.

I'm sure the coaches are saying to themselves, "Man this Toon kid is better than 75% of the people we have playing... Let's continue not playing him."

What team are you watching?

There are NO good wide receivers on this team. Stills has some potential, and Toon/Morgan are worth keeping because of future developmental potential.. the rest could be cut as soon as the season is over and I would not blink.

It is PAINFULLY obvious that our top "options" at WR are not capable of handling the burden they are given. Colston, Moore and Meachem are simply too old. They cannot create any seperation: this partnered with our AWFUL OL play is making it impossible for Drew to do anything except dump the ball off to RBs all the time.

Stills > Toon

That being said, pretty much every other WR on this team is better than Toon.

Well Jimmy's a tight end, so you can't use him. And yes, Lance has played pretty shitty this year. Colston was no where to be found until the panthers game. Stills, he's a rookie and will disappear for a few weeks before having a good game.
