I saw it with Tuberville and Petrino. When a coach flirts with another job and the fanbase feels like the other woman, it never ends well. I heard all week the bama fans saying "if he wants to go to TX, then frick him". It will be a happy marriage until he suffers the next loss. Bama fans are like the cheated wife, in the back of their minds they will alway remember how Saban strayed on them.

So I guess Malzhan cheated on AU when he got an extension and a loss to LSU.

Just let Malzhan loss to FSU or anyone else and he's gone....... based on your logic.

Malzahn shouldn't have cheated on poor Arkansas State.

Bammer logic. It is not about winning or losing, it is about testing the waters. Like I said, AU is not immuned to it (see Tuberville), just in the back of bama's mind it will always be there. After the first loss it will rear its ugly head. It happened this year after the IB and Saban was considered a "loyal husband" to the bammers at that time.

The sidewalks are going to sidewalk. But this week reenergized the Alabama faithful. You'll never truly appreciate what you have until faced with the reality that it could be gone.

The relationship with Tubbs went south on the very day the AD and other Board Members got on Bobby's plane to go talk to Petrino. Tubbs was the scorned wife in that scenario, and the Barn has been working like crazy to get over the guilt of that act ever since.

OMG, my butt is hurting so bad. Guess I'll have to take a trip out to Pasadena to make myself feel better.

That is when it started, but people forget that TT kept his job because of the fans outcry during "Jet Gate". After that he flirted with the Ark job and the relationship with the fans was never the same.

How do you figure that? It's not like he flirted with leaving for a no-name school like Auburn. It was Texas. I'd think if a woman's husband had a chance to get with Adriana Lima, she'd be annoyed but would understand. And then when she finds out he didn't get with her because he was faithful, well, she'd be even happier.

downvote for you

I don't recall any Bama fan discussing the Auburn head coaching position during any of their times they were about to play in the BCSNCG.

We don't want to hear you and your SO's relationship "summed" up and compared to Bama and Saban.
