Ever hear of Maximus Arms out of Franklin Tennessee?

New from Maximus Arms: Gladiator 1911

Sounds like an interesting 1911 Specimen! Price is a bit steep at $1776.00 though...

Goofy rollmark on the slide is goofy.

Tru glo front sight looks cheap / out of place.

Looks like that is a caspian frame. I would buy from a maker that has been around a while and proven their quality. These guys are new and I wouldn't spend 2k on a "custom" gun with what very much appears to be a caspian frame.

WTF is going on with the bottom of the grip and why doesn't the slide relief match up with the end of the frame?

What goofy frick is dummy cording this gun?

After looking at more pics,it looks like they are using a lot of caspian parts and mostly just assembling the gun. Call them up and ask some questions....you never know.

Hope it shoots straight...
Black, brown, and chrome sounds like sexy colors, until they are combined on a pistol.

Grey, brown and chrome on the other hand...

As another poster said that is a lot of caspian parts. You can buy all those parts for less than 1200 or so and put them together yourself. I've almost done it plenty of times.

Was thinking the exact same thing... looks very strange.

+1

I've never seen someone even use a loop. Maybe LE but what officer is issued a custom 1911?

I don't like how the front slide cut doesn't match the frame too.

Like Judge said, you can do MUCH better for 17 hundo.

The only people I have ever even heard of that used the loop on a 1911 were paratroopers in WW2 because obviously they were jumping out of a plane and the prop blast would make them lose all kinds of shite.

Maybe this is the perfect modern 1911 for them then.

A few companies make mainspring housing with loops today.

The MEUSOC that our special guys use also have a lanyard loop.

Kimber warrior is one production gun that comes with a loop as well.
