I'd love to hear the explanation for why my thread was deleted.
That place used to be a fine forum to discuss recruits. Unfortunately, it has changed to become a place where anything short of giving any and all recruits a virtual rim job is considered unacceptable.
Keep in mind my thread wasn't negative at all, and neither were any of the responses from posters, who mostly gave useful information.

I don't want to upset the apple cart, but I had posts deleted because I said a kid that lied to our coaches handled his recruitment poorly.
Eta: never actually bashed the kid either. Just displayed mu disagreement with his actions.

I don't post as much as I used to (on all the forums, just because I don't have as much spare time right now), and I spend more time on the MSB and Soccer Board than the Recruiting Board, so I hadn't paid that much attention to this kind of stuff although I saw some signs from time to time.
Doomsday posters are annoying as hell, but I'd say the current situation of creating a false wonderland where every kid is great, and everyone is coming to LSU, and no one is an academic risk, and no one is considering a rival is even worse.
I can only imagine what would happen if TK Flemming was a 2014 recruit.
Who is the admin for the recruiting board anyways?

That's surprising. While not as laid back as some of the other admins, he usually seems to be pretty laissez-faire on the OT.

So, in a situation that you have no first-hand knowledge of, you specifically call a recruit out for lying to the coaches, yet you don't think that's bashing him?

Not true. I think the problem is, and I'm not saying that it's YOUR problem (but just a general issue across the board), that y'all have been given so much freedom on here - when that freedom is limited like it has been on the RB - people freak out.
I mean, lets not blow it out of proportion - you can still post your disagreements and criticisms, the only thing we've asked is that you not speak negatively about the recruits or coaching staff. Therefore, if you can't say what you have to say in a constructive, less antagonistic way then yeah...maybe you shouldn't be posting here. (Again, not speaking to just you)

My thread was literally asking people if there was any chatter about players who may decommit, thats it. Nothing more. I named a player who could be a possibility. Several people either named a different player, agreed with me, or said they thought everyone was solid. Then, it was deleted.

Eta: other than blatantly insulting a player, I think the line between "destructive" and "constructive" criticism is a lot more narrow than you're saying.

It very well might be, and I think even Chicken alluded to that being the case over this last bit of time until signing day in the stickied post on the RB. So, yeah, some threads might get deleted that otherwise appear to be okay - looking at your thread from last night, I can see why an admin would've deleted it.
With the backlash we've had on the LA to Bama recruits and the Palelei thread, I can see how having another thread about LSU losing a commitment or another recruit would not be wanted - especially since there has not been any chatter out there about anyone else decommitting.
