His reasoning was centered around statements from Nick and Terry about not leaving.

I think he is right

Of course some people are saying this. It's the safe answer.

So Doc, if he is not going anywhere, why not just nip this shite in the bud right now and say so. It's simple.

All the media guys are being safe, none of them have the balls to say he is going and their reasoning is public statements which mean shite

Given Saban and Terry's statements in BR he was not leaving either.

Based on Tubberville's comments that head only leave Ole Miss in a pine box he wasn't headed to Auburn.

He and his brother, who despise each other and run competing websites and consulting firms dedicated to college football coaching, both do this for a living. Both are very good sources for information regarding these things.

Unless he's involved on either side of the coin, Bama or UT, than he's simply going off what he feels based on the past. My guess is he is assuming that based on the backlash Saban got from the "I will not be the Bama coach" crap that he wouldn't want to risk the same, but he said what every other coach said and it's not like Saban is Todd Graham here. He's been at Bama for 7 years.

That guy is a bartender at The Library in Oxford.

That being said, he does have some solid connections and insight into the annual coaching carousel.

He did talk about the Sexton domino effect of clients taking jobs after Texas formally names a coach...really interesting. Sexton needs a 30 For 30 on his business.
