How can we find a way to get this guy on our team? ESPN puts him as a top trade target, we need to get on the phone and make this happen. Not only is he a big man, but he passes pretty well for a C too.

Greg Monroe is not going to happen. He's one of the top young bigs in the league and the available assets we have are most likely:

Gordon, Rivers, 2016 1st.

We will be easily outbid by other teams if Monroe hits the market.

Yeah, figured it would be a long shot, but man having him on the Pels would instantly make us better.

Minnesota needs to move pecovic and williams for him, that would be huge.

What a get that would be... Hometown boy, too.

He'd fill a gaping void on our current squad and once we are fully healthy... NBA would be on notice.

I'd be down.

Derrick Williams already got traded to Sacramento. He had 31 points against Dallas last night.

Nick Young might have just punched his ticket out of town

Greg Monroe is a "good" player, but he plays zero defense and is about to get a max contract. If we could move Gordon's contract alone for him, maybe simply because it would be small for big. But otherwise I see no way it makes sense.

That took what, one game? lol

Swaggy P is far and away my favorite player in the NBA. Watching the dude just no hesitation throw the ball at the basket every time he touches it is just pure entertainment.

Is a FA after this season. So I doubt they'd make a trade for a half season rental.

But you never know.

I thought he was a restricted FA after the season. But I haven't done a lot of research into it, so I could be wrong.

ETA: Is this thread anchored? Doesn't pop up to the top when there's a new post, for me atleast.

He might be a FA after next season, I think I misread it. My bad.

Monroe will be a restricted free agent and will sure to look for a maximum extension. That's why he's mentioned as possibly being traded so much. His contract is about to outweigh his play.

You don't definitively know. Did anyone see the Harden trade coming? Or even the Rudy Gay trade yesterday? No! NBA GMs are so coy about the trade block, they pull shite out of their arse all the times.

Unless you can actually see the future, then I'm sorry, and please share your secrets

Monroe is a restricted free agent.

I'm not sure he will get a max contract, but it will be a big contract. I'd love to get him at the same price as Gordon, but he may actually demand more money in the offseason.

Gordon, Rivers, 2016 1st.

It makes me flinch at first, but we never see Rivers play anyway.

That would make our line up:

Jrue/Roberts
Evans
Aminu
Davis/Anderson
Monroe/Smith

Really young, but a crapload of talent at all positions.

Me and Greg go way back. I'm telling him to avoid the Pelicans at all costs.
