Was all of college football down this year?

We can argue all we want on how the B1G was not good this year. However, can someone present which conference was dominate this year?
I still believe the SEC is the best overall conference this year and Florida State to this point is the best team…but can someone put together some statistics to show how the conferences rank?

All of CFB was down this year, evidence being that not a single damn team has a defense worth a shite outside of a couple. It used to be that the Big12 was all offense and no defense. This year that philosophy made its way into tB1G and SEC, two defensive leagues.

No, it wasn't. Some traditional powers were down though, and that usually sways perception.
I'd rank them as such:
Tier I
SEC, Pac-12

How many points/yards we're put up in that coveted SECCCG?
Maybe I should rephrase to: Defensively, this is one of the worst seasons in my memory. Offensively, it was pretty good. But to me, defense > offense, which leads to my conclusion that CFB was down this year.

statistically, mizzou's defense was pretty good, especially against the run. they gave up a lot of passing yards, but their pass efficiency defense was good. MU has a two or three guys who will play on sunday -- couple on the DL and one really outstanding corner.
Mizzou hadn't given up more than 26 points to anyone all year... that included offenses like A&M and UGA (granted,they had injuries).
They just ran into a buzzsaw Saturday.
