Is this another game where Les plays down to the competition?

We should blow Iowa out, it shouldnt be even close. I just have a good feeling it will be close going into the 4th, and us squeaking out a victory.

We've got 6-7 juniors heading to the pros and a freshman qb. Nothing would surprise me in this game.

So in retrospect, Les coached us way up over Auburn and A&M, right? Or do we only get to spin things negatively?

A. 75% of LSU conf games are close (and this matchup is more like a conf game than not).
B. LSU will have a QB making his first college start. I'd expect to see some mistakes.
C. LSU isn't good enough this year to say they "should" blow anybody out.
D. It's a meaningless bowl game (news flash they all are except for the BCSNCG), so motivation will be a big factor. Will LSU be motivated? Who knows?
To answer your question though, yes, I think it will be a close game into the 4th. I go into every LSU game assuming a close game in the 4th. 9 years of history has showed us that more likely than not that will be the case.

Why only limit it to 9 years? Did Saban not have close games here? Why is this supposedly only a Les phenomenon?
