Just different bowl options

We are tired of these bowls because we go to them a lot, but at the same time, thats how it works. If you are good in any Conference you go to the same bowls fairly regularly.

2 team limit to BCS is killing us

Big 12 would be a clearer path to BCS games I think

Fiesta - BCS vs Sugar
Cotton Bowl
Alamo - San Antonio
Holiday Inn - San Diego
Pinstripe - New York
Buffalo Wild Wing - Phoenix
Texas - Houston

I just like the possibilities for cool destinations better but they really are inferior bowls vs The Cap 1, Outback, Chicken, Music

The Cotton Bowl usually gets the SEC #4 or #5 team(2 BCS/Cap-One/Outback) they also get the Big 12's #2.

Looking at the list, I'd say a resounding "NO".

I prefer the Sugar over the Fiesta; easier travel (obviously), but also more prestigious, more historic. Now, the Champ's Game starting next year might alter that, but it's still no more than a push.
Cotton- that game has declined to less than it used to be (one of the BIG bowls). And if you look, it's slotted higher for the Big 12 than it is for the SEC. In other words, you finish top 5 to get a shot at the Cotton in the SEC, top 2 in the Big 12. So, no, there.

Yuck. With the exception of the Holiday, I can't even recall watching any (and that one only because it used to have some high scores).

Now, to the argument that LSU would be "higher" in the Big 12- you have to take into account that we'd likely be in the South (which would revive with added teams). That's where Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, and every other competitive Big 12 team is; it's even more slanted (usu) than the SEC West over the East. If we somehow fell into the North, I think you could write us into their revived championship almost every year.

We would still be a 2-3 loss team in big 12

Baylor OU and osu would all be tough

San Antonio is a cool destination for a bowl game.

Right, so- to the original post (better bowl options)- a small shot at being in the BCS as an at-large (better- we have none this year); a decent shot at the Cotton (about equal to this season); or a HUGE dropoff. As bad as we say the Chick Fil A game is, it's way bigger than what the Big 12 has. And that's not taking the Cap 1, Outback, or Gator into consideration.
