I drank 4 bombers last night and feel like death today.

I can drink up to 3 12-ouncers and be okay the next day.

if I drink 4 or more, then I'm in the danger zone. Guaranteed hangover if I drink 7+

being old sucks

There is no rhyme or reason to my hangovers. A few weeks ago I had 2-12 ounce pale ales and had headache from hell the next day, whereas I can go to beerfests and be fine the next day. I think it has to do with how soon I go to bed after drinking. My normal guarantee is 4 beers in an evening for a hangover.

What does craft have to do with it?

If you drink 9% beer versus 5% beer it will make a difference.

On point though, I could probably only drink about 48 ounces of 6% beer without feeling it.

Can't drink beer and you can't throw a football.

Damn, bro, you're getting worse by the post.

Honestly, the key for me has always been to drink a full glass of water before going to sleep. I've never woken up feeling too bad when I do that.

It's just sometimes things get out of hand and I forget to (or physically can't) do it.

I can drink a 32 ounce pedialyte and it won't help me

although I definitely agree with TigerinATL about the ABV…four 90-minute dogfish heads and I'm done…4 Sweetwater 420s and I'm probably okay in the morning.

Eating normal, I can drink 12 and not feel it. Been doing low carb the last few months and rarely drinking. 4 beers give me a headache now.

I used to take Ibuprofen and drink a full glass of water before bed when I was like 18-19 and went out drinking.

Somewhere along the way, I forgot how much it worked (or being 18-19 was why it worked, lol). I need try and remember to start doing it again and see if it makes a difference.

If I know I'm going to drink enough to get legitimately drunk I try to eat something good and fatty earlier in the day then drink some water along the way when drinking. That usually solves any hangover problems.

Craft beer doesn't seem to do it. Red wine on the other hand, and especially bourbon, will leave me hurting. Maybe I just drink more then. I rarely go hard with beer.

Well I guess you are doing it right. This + downtown and I am spent. Not leaving the couch today.

Depends on what kinda craft beer I'm drinking.... Many stouts and porters I feel like crap the next day even with drinking water. Now if I'm drinking lighter craft beers like Canebrake, SweetWater then I will be fine

It depends on the alcohol content for me. If we're talking 10%ers, 2 bombers and I'm pretty drunk and will wake up with a slight hangover. Worst hangover I've had was after the Parish tasting, though. No idea how much I drank but I'm sure it added up to quite a lot. Got nauseated on my way home in my buddy's car, and woke up with a bangin' headache.

Luckily I'm young at 25 and even a 'bad' hangover is pretty much cured by drinking some water, eating some heavy food, and popping some tylenol

Don't take anything, just drink a pot of coffee and go for a walk, it actually helps
