Would AP leave Minnesota for a chance at a title? Before his prime is over?

I understand loyalty, but it'd be on Steve Nash levels of sad (for me anyway) if AP never got a Super Bowl ring. Would he take a paycut to play next to a guy like Tom Brady (or one of the next elite NFL QBs?) for a chance at a title?

He needs to get his money while he can. Once his prime has passed, he can go be a back up for a couple of years on a contender and try to win one.

He should...He could make a solid team unbeatable if he went over. Imagine the Pats, Saints, or Denver with AP

Minnesota isn't the best team in the NFL. Otherwise they should automatically go to the SB.

So long as they pay him yeah I don't believe he'd give it more than a seconds thought

He is already 28, next year might be the last good year. 30 is not good for a running back especially with the miles he has

I've been up here in minn/st paul working for a week. I would leave based on the weather alone, its frickin cold

Yes he would, but I don't think he would take less money to win a ring. He's got a lot of financial obligations out there.

He's, what, 28? He is already past his prime.

When's the last time a big name RB his age went to a new team and continued to play at a high level?

Yes, but no pay cut needed.

AP also has 5 years remaining on his deal.
Petersen was on the record in November, about his preference for staying, as well.

Winning Superbowls isn't nearly as important to a RB's legacy as it is to a QB.
In fact it really doesn't impact their legacy much at all. I think he's more interested in breaking records

agreed but if minn. doesn't get a qb teams are going to continue to stack the box, making these records harder to break.

Hasn't had any problems with it yet

I hope so, it's sad seeing his talent being wasted with the Vikings.
