Temperature is dropping in NW LA...time for some soup.

Chili or soup probably. Might look at the various soup threads. Have to make gumbo one more time this weekend for Christmas gifts. Glad it will be cold.

Wife is having her wisdom teeth taken out. Glad it's coinciding with a cold weekend. Also glad I have some nice homemade stock from last week's turkey carcass. Also have some homemade beef stock in the freeze...
I make a good homemade chicken noodle. But give me some ideas for some others that are fairly healthy (i.e. not doused in heavy cream).

Ice Station Dallas reporting: 32 windchill 21 and the rain is starting. Looks like a good ol' ice storm tonight and another Sunday. May be inside all weekend. I have 3 fridges full of beer.

The front is coming through but I was prepared.
I played my last game of golf yesterday when it was 68 degrees. It's now in the high 40s. I took some chili and beans out of the freezer yesterday to thaw. But it won't be ready till tomorrow.
Made some pasta with ground meat today for Lucy.
I'm thinking catfish courtbullion is in order for the weekend.
