re: Martin Bashir resigns from MSNBC over Sarah Palin comments

Still have a bevy of dumbasses to get rid of and replace with people without a hardon for hatred of all things conservative. How they still have anyone buying ad time from them is a bit dumbfounding. Their ratings are true cellar dwellers of the highest order. I can't wait to not wee tonights Hardball with the hard hitting interview scheduled.

Is Matthews interview with Obama tonight?

Slightly off subject. Did you see the reply to the NFL Bans Daniel Defense Super Bowl Ad Response

Looks like they're going in alphabetical order. How long before they hit the M's?

the comments on Huffpost are depressing. Liberals on there actually support what he said

I'm really sorry to see him go. This guy was a valuable source of information and perspective. His righteous indignation at the inane comments of whats-her-face led him to make an excessive comment in terms of public programming, however justified it may have been. Hope you land on your feet Martin.

Seriously though, it takes a LOT for MSNBC or the commentator who utters a gutter phrase/statement to get fired/resign from that dump of a place...

Their jerkoff hosts beat CNN's jerkoff hosts in the Mon-Fri ratings from 5 PM through 11 PM , 90% or more of the time. That's how they hang on.

MSNBC probably has the most hateful, misinformed viewers of all the major networks.

I'm shocked he resigned.....but I'm not the least bit surprised that they are still harping on a conservative female running mate from 6 years ago that will probably never seek public office again.

There are very valid reasons, as illustrated in this debacle, why the term "liberal tolerance" is rapidly becoming a joke.

The folks on MSNBC are just as full of bile and hatred,if not more so, than the tea partiers they despise so much.

re: Martin Bashir resigns from MSNBC over Sarah Palin comments

Here's a list of journalists of the three cable news networks that I could think of, who lost their jobs for something they said or wrote:

CNN
Octavia Nasr
Rick Sanchez

FOX News
Marc Lamoont Hill
E.D. Hill

MSNBC
Michael Savage
David Shuster
Pat Buchanan
Alec Baldwin
Martin Bashir

Feel free to add to the list if you can think of some more.

Actually, FOX is worse. Bill O'Reilly got away with calling Mexicans wetbacks without even getting suspended, much less fired.

What did Patrick Joseph Buchanan do to be let go from MSNBC? I realize he is gone but never really heard why.

BTW Many years ago when he ran he was called an isolationist jew hating freak, they made up the jew hating part but his ideals are popular today. Took long enough.

I think OReilly is a blowhard that sells his books (they all do) but he is fair and I don't think would ever say that. Link?

That was over 10 years ago. That's all you have? All we hear is how intolerant conservatives are and in the span of a couple of weeks we have one MSNBC host fired for yelling a homosexual slur and another "quitting" for saying someone should shite in a woman's mouth. SMH.

It seems particularly ironic that Bashir constantly wears an expression on his face that screams, " I've got shite in my mouth, and I don't know why".

I never understood why they hired him. He has no charisma, he's not entertaining at all, and he's extremely smug. He is a minority I guess.
