Given his age/skill and rising revenues, what contract does he get?

I think he'd end up with at least 12 years and $480MM, and I'd be comfortable giving that as a mid/upper-mid market team ($100-120MM payroll).

My guess would be 13 years, $533 million

10 years 350 mil would be perfect, that way he would still be young enough to get another huge 10 year contract when this one is over.

No chance he would sign for 13 years. He wants a new contract in his EARLY 30s, not at 35.

Any team willing to give out a half billion dollar contract is absurd.

Not saying he wouldn't get it, but it'd be a hell of a liability for an organization.

I would sign him for 3 years 100 million. That way if he gets hurt or something crazy happens it shouldn't frick up the franchise.

Same here. I'd go $500m over 15 years. At $33m a season, that would be a bargain. I'd just hope the half a billion would grab him.

I'd likely be willing to go $600m/15 or down to $400m/10

I think he'd rather sign something closer to an 8 year deal. That would make him 30 for his next contract. He can get two contracts that are close to or above $300 mil that way.

300/10

I'm not sure anyone would insure a 500 million dollar contract. That's a crazy number with a crap ton of risk.

If the Braves weren't retarded, he'd be a great addition to the new stadium.
