My post isn't an I didn't want Hootie but if we pull in JA who I believe will be every bit as good as Hootie maybe better than I am cool with loosing hootie because I don't think we needed four of them anyway. All other positions are hurting more than DB except for maybe QB. Considering the 3 kids (assuming JA) we have not sure another 5* saftery would actually help the team all that much considering that slot could go to a lineman or linebacker.

People might laugh, but when I saw his tape, he reminded me of a bigger Tyrann Matheiu. I saw Tyrann running basic drills in the summer of 2012 with the rest of the DBs and he was by far the quickest player of the bunch. He made everyone else look slow.
I won't laugh, but I will say that it was tyrann's instincts and ball skills that made him special. He was quick, but if you take away those other attributes his quickness would have been for not.

When is Adams looking to make a commitment? Could we get him after a stellar visit or is he waiting for a later date? Is he looking to enroll for the spring? Damn we need a safety to come in in the spring badly. We need safeties to contribute and contribute early

With this being such a big recruiting weekend I think that there is a possibility of Tony Brown and Jamal Adams committing together (No inside information). TB will be having to make his decision soon due to early enrolling and I think the coaches will start to make a push for those who are not committing at all-star games.

I also recall what the other posters were refering to when in the past we were one of the top if not the leader for adams before something happened. Leads me to believe he always has wanted us as his leader but how LSU approached it cooled him. Regardless that fire for him is back I believe now that we have the full press on him.

Adams and TB commit to us soon is my prediction

I know I am in the minority, but I have no problem with every single recruit waiting until the All American games. Let them have their exposure, have their moment, and let them have it on TV, all for LSU, while the next crop of high school talent watches them on TV.

I actually like what I see all around from JA more so than HJ. And I'm not just being bitter or butthurt. JA projects more as a DB to me and he pursues with such fierce intensity. His measurables seem through the roof..

This is a must get! Please make it happen, Les! This would easily make me forget the kid from Neville.

Agreed. Best case scenario in my mind. After every commercial break, we get a big time commitment for all the young up and coming kids to witness? Homerun for LSU.

I wouldn't. With the athletes we are bringing in, jones was a bigger need.

Adams fits our scheme better, but so does Paris and brown.

When need a strong body breaker in the middle of the field.

One thing I don't agree with is slow playing someone with equal talent as a home grown kid if he wants to be a tiger!! We should go get any talent that wants to be here no matter what our instate guys are saying or doing. You go get that talent and let them know they can also be a part of this class and compete for that spot! Actually especially our instate guys! If they want to be a tiger they will at least commit and look around while committed..... All this enjoying the process stuff fine but LSU has to make their moves, and enjoy thier process as well and if they really want to play for LSU they will understand or commit. This is a big time college and we shouldn't wait on anyone. Ok mayb LF no but really LF would understand or should.

According to just about everyone that has seen Hootie play who I've read comments from he hasn't been breaking many bodies from his safety position.

However Tony Brown and Jamal Adams look like they bring the wood, I bet John Battle does too
